CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

At New St. James, we recognize the importance of enriching our youth through the word of God. We provide an engaging and relatable, Bible focused environment for children, that will aide in their growth and development as young believer-followers.

"Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6

Our Children's Ministry is lovingly conducted by Sis. Wendy Raspberry and Sis. Starr Gillis-Speller.

Fighting Against Injustice Towards Harmony
Knowing We Can Make A Difference!

F.A.I.T.H. is a nonprofit organization comprised of 32 religious congregations in Volusia County. Though F.A.I.T.H. congregations differ in their racial makeup, socio-economical status and theology, they stand united in their commitment to fulfill God's call to "do Justice". Unlike direct service agencies or "mercy ministries", F.A.I.T.H. does not work to help individual with immediate needs. Rather, F.A.I.T.H. is a direct action organization made up of "Justice ministries" that work together to address the root cause of community problems by using the power of organized people to hold public leaders accountable for fair and just policy.

Mission Statement:
"We are an interfaith, Congregation-based Community Organization. Our member Congregations pledge to build powerful Justice Ministries within their own congregations and to work together to address the root causes of issues of injustice in Volusia County"

Current Campaigns:

Homelessness
Youth Arrests

New St. James is now actively engaged with F.A.I.T.H and we accept the charge to continue in the fight against injustice towards harmony!

"Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy." Proverbs 31:8-9

MILLENNIAL MINISTRY

New St. James is on an exciting journey to offer a ministry group for our members who are 18-35 years of age, to come together in meaningful fellowship and service! This ministry will be engaging and impactful for our church home and community at large; just as our Heavenly Father so desires, "You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love." - Galatians 5:13
